Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Specc, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Specc.

2. The service

Specc is a software-as-a-service tool that uses AI to transform user feedback into structured developer tickets. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use Specc. You may not share your account with others — each seat on a team plan is intended for one individual.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or are used for unlawful purposes.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Specc to:

• —Generate, distribute, or store content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
• —Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract underlying AI models or data
• —Resell or sublicense access to the service without written permission
• —Circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or access controls
• —Transmit sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary to generate a ticket (e.g. do not paste full medical records or financial account numbers)

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the feedback content you submit and the tickets Specc generates for you. By using the service you grant Specc a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service. We do not use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Payment and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Specc is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI-generated output may contain errors and should be reviewed before use. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Specc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
