# Specc > Specc maps third-party API changes against your codebase and shows the services, functions and workflows most likely to be affected, with evidence behind every finding. ## What Specc does Specc is an early-stage tool for engineering teams. It: - Takes a description of a third-party API or SDK change - Scans a TypeScript or JavaScript repository - Identifies likely direct API usage - Traces potential downstream dependencies - Produces a ranked blast-radius report with confidence, evidence, dependency paths and recommended validation Specc does not automatically fix code, open pull requests, or claim complete detection. ## Who it's for - Engineering leaders responsible for API-heavy systems - Teams dealing with Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI or similar vendor migrations - Groups looking for design-partner access, not a mature self-serve product ## The problem Specc solves The changelog tells you what changed. It does not tell you what that change affects inside your software. Specc is built for that second problem. ## Key pages - Homepage: https://www.speccapp.com - Request early access: https://www.speccapp.com/#early-access - Contact: conor@speccapp.com ## Current stage Specc is in early access. There is no public self-serve pricing on the website. Design partners are invited to test Specc against historical API changes. ## Current MVP Languages: TypeScript and JavaScript Input: changelog or structured change description, plus a GitHub repo, public repo URL, or uploaded files Output: confidence-ranked impact findings with evidence
